Katoen Drukkerij - block printing on fabric & working with the CNC milling machine

During my internship, I worked with a CNC milling machine to create wooden block printing blocks with my own designs. I used my favorite, the star lady, as an example. You can see the process below in the pictures and video's.
I experimented a lot with the star lady block, by varying the placement and trying to create a pattern with it. I also experimented with different colours, and adding a smaller star print as well.
I also experimented with a bug block I chose from the Katoen Drukkerij's collection. I decided to try working on clothing rather than a big piece of fabric, because I was curious about working in this context as well. I created patterns, and tried to work with the seams of the garments, to make the prints appear as natural as possible.
